- The Toyota Yaris was launched in 1999, marketed between 1999 and 2005 under the "Yaris" and "Echo" names depending on the market. Depending on the market Hatchback, coupe, and sedan body variants were offered. The 2005 second generation models marketed the "Yaris" name worldwide. Hatchback and sedan body styles were offered. The hatchback version was discontinued in late 2013 for Asian markets. The third generation models was launched in 2011, originally as a hatchback with a sedan from 2013.
- The Yaris came with one diesel engine, the 1.4 1ND-TV, and give petrol options: 1.2 L 3NR-FE, 1.3 L 6NR-FE, 1.5 L 1NZ-FE, 1.5 L 7NR-FE and 1.5 L 2NR-FE.
- The facelifted XP150 model Yaris hatchback was launched in Thailand on 14 September 2017. The car uses the same front fascia as the Yaris ATIV sedan, with the taillights inspired by the second generation Auris. Models offered are as follows: J ECO, J, E and G.
